Waldemar Gädecke

Waldemar Gaedeke (born April 10, 1874 in Heidelberg ; † February 4, 1963 there ; Protestant) was a lawyer and district administrator who had been in the Baden state service since 1903 . He was retired early on December 31, 1937 at his “own request”.

Life

The son of the Dresden historian Arnold Gaedeke studied law at the universities of Leipzig and Heidelberg after graduating in 1892 . In the summer semester of 1893 he joined the Leonensia student union . After completing his studies he was a legal intern or trainee lawyer from 1897 to 1902 and received his doctorate in Heidelberg in the summer of 1898. iur. In 1903 he joined the Baden interior administration. On May 11, 1907, he took over the position of bailiff at the Rastatt district office and on December 20, 1907, he moved to the administrative court in Karlsruhe as secretary . On August 22, 1908, Gaedeke was appointed bailiff at the Pforzheim district office and on December 28, 1917 senior bailiff at the Waldshut district office . On April 2, 1919, he was transferred as a service administrator and then head of the Eppingen district office . In 1924 he was first promoted to district administrator at the Oberkirch district office, before moving to the same position at the Ettlingen district office in 1932 . On December 31, 1937 he was given early retirement and then moved to Heidelberg.
