District Office Ettlingen
The Oberamt Ettlingen (1803–1809) or Amt Ettlingen (1809–1864) or District Office Ettlingen was an office in Baden . It was dissolved in 1937 as part of a reform of the administrative structure.
history
On the basis of the organizational rescript of March 9, 1803, the previous office of Ettlingen became a senior office . To the previous locations of the old office ( Beiertheim , Bruchhausen , Bulach , Busenbach , Daxlanden , Ettlingen , Ettlingenweier , Etzenrot , Forchheim , Grünwinkel , Hardhof, Malsch , Mörsch , Neuburgweier , Oberweier , Reichenbach , Rimmelsbach , Schluttenbach , Scheibenhardt Castle , Schöllbronn , Stupferich , Unterweier and the Frauenalbic places Bilfingen and Ersingen ) the following places were added: Burbach , Kloster Frauenalb , Marxzell , Metzlinschwander Hof , Pfaffenrot , Schielberg , Schwerhof , Spessart , Steinhäuselhof and Völkersbach . The district now had 11,937 inhabitants, of which 11,746 were Catholic. Since the nearby offices of Bretten (6168 inhabitants), Bruchsal City Office (7590 inhabitants) and Bruchsal Landamt (9363 inhabitants) had significantly fewer inhabitants, in 1809 the towns of Beiertheim, Bulach, Daxlanden and Grünwinkel were transferred to the newly established Landamt Karlsruhe and Stupferich handed over to the Durlach office .
On June 7, 1921, the places Langensteinbach , Spielberg and Auerbach were incorporated by the Durlach District Office into the Ettlingen District Office. At the same time, Forchheim was handed over to the Karlsruhe district office.
The hierarchical structure and office allocation of the Baden administration was changed in 1806, 1809, 1832 and 1864. The following overview shows the respective affiliation of the Ettlingen district office.
- From 1803: Margraviate Baden - Landvogtei Eberstein - Oberamt Ettlingen
- From 1806: Province of the Middle Rhine or the Margraviate of Baden (Karlsruhe) - Regional Authority of Ettlingen
- From 1809: Murgkreis ( Rastatt ) - Provincial Office Ettlingen
- From 1832: Middle Rhine District - State Office Ettlingen
- From 1864: Regional Commissioner District Karlsruhe - District Karlsruhe - District Office Ettlingen
The Ettlingen district office was dissolved on June 30, 1936; due to internal difficulties, official business was not transferred to the Karlsruhe district office until April 1, 1937 .
