Wilhelm Lamey

Wilhelm Friedrich Paul Hubert Lamey (born March 2, 1854 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † August 14, 1910 in Karlsruhe ) was a lawyer in the Baden civil service and was appointed to the position of the administrative board member, comparable to today's district administrator .

Wilhelm Friedrich Paul Hubert Lamey was born the son of August Lamey (* July 27, 1816; † January 14, 1896), Privy Councilor and Minister of the Interior of Baden , and Maria Katharina nee Dyckerhoff . Wilhelm Lamey married Karolina Mathilde Olga née Pierson von Balmadis on July 4, 1888 in Gaggenau (* March 21, 1866 - August 29, 1943), daughter of Waldemar Pierson and Anna Sophia née Weltzien. Lamey's marriage resulted in two children: Olga (born April 21, 1889 in Rastatt ) and Leontine Pauline Sascha (born August 5, 1891 in Eppingen ).

Life

Lamey attended grammar school in Mannheim from 1866 to 1874 , where he passed the school leaving examination. From the winter semester of 1875/76 he studied law at the University of Heidelberg until 1878, interrupted by a study visit to Berlin in 1876/77. From 1880 to 1883 he worked as an intern or trainee lawyer at various courts in Baden.

His first job as a clerk at the Heidelberg District Office took place on September 1, 1883. Further positions were: from January 1, 1885 employed in the secretariat of the Ministry of the Interior; from August 15, 1886 official assistant at the Karlsruhe district office ; from June 20, 1887 as an official assistant at the Kehl district office ; from October 1887 temporary help at the administrative court in Karlsruhe and finally the position associated with a promotion as bailiff from April 5, 1888 at the Rastatt district office . From October 15, 1890 to July 23, 1892 he was senior administrator and head of the district office in Eppingen . He then performed the same task at the Ettlingen district office . On July 17, 1902, he was appointed a secret councilor, and on July 24, 1902, he was given early retirement due to illness.
