August Wendt

August Wendt (born June 4, 1861 in Hamm ; † May 15, 1927 in Karlsruhe ) was a German lawyer . From 1888 he was in the Baden state service and was an official director, comparable to a current district administrator .

August Wendt was the son of Gustav Wendt (born January 24, 1824 in Berlin ; † March 6, 1912 in Karlsruhe), from 1857 to 1867 director of the grammar school in Hamm and from 1867 in Karlsruhe , and Anna née Dohrn (born August 6 1831 in Berlin; † November 1, 1892 in Karlsruhe). On June 21, 1892 he married Klara née Stoesser, daughter of Max Stoesser, Privy Councilor in Freiburg, and Helene née Flad. Wendt was married to Johanna born Eisenhardt (born September 12, 1878 in Greiz ; † September 12, 1963 in Geisenheim ), daughter of Julius Eisenhardt , in his second marriage since March 31, 1906 . The son Gustav (born December 9, 1891) was born from the first marriage and the following children from the second marriage: Marianne (born February 23, 1907 in Wertheim ) and Karla (born October 6, 1913 in Karlsruhe).

After attending grammar school in Karlsruhe from 1870 to 1880, he began studying law at the University of Freiburg in the winter semester of 1880/81 , moved to the University of Munich in the winter semester of 1881/82 and to the University of Berlin in the winter semester of 1882/83 . From the summer semester, Wendt studied at the University of Heidelberg , where he graduated in 1884. After the first state examination , he became a legal intern on December 17, 1884 and continued his training as a trainee at the Karlsruhe District Court . Further stations of his training were: District Court Radolfzell , Regional Court Karlsruhe , Public Prosecutor's Office Karlsruhe , District Office Waldkirch , District Office Ettlingen etc. He passed the second state examination on June 18, 1888 with the grade sufficiently successful.
