Franz Lumpp

Franz Lumpp (born March 3, 1821 in Tiengen ; † March 3, 1913 in Bruchsal ; Catholic) was a lawyer and official member of the Baden civil service since 1852 , comparable to today's district administrator .

family

Franz Lumpp was the son of Franz Lumpp († 1833), grand ducal chief taker from Staufen . In 1859 he married Maria Nopp, daughter of the businessman Joseph Nopp from Philippsburg . From this marriage comes a son.

education

After having passed the Abitur at the Rastatt Lyceum, Franz Lumpp studied law at the University of Freiburg from the winter semester 1840/41 to the summer semester 1843 . He then moved to Heidelberg University , where he completed his studies in the summer of 1844. As a legal trainee, he completed the following positions: 1844 at the court court of the Upper Rhine District in Freiburg im Breisgau , 1848 at the district office in Lörrach , 1849 at the district office in Hüfingen and at the district office in Breisach .

Political activity

On May 5, 1850, an investigation was initiated against Lumpp because of his participation in the revolution of 1848/49. The process before the court court of the Seekreis in Constance ended with an acquittal for Lumpp. However, he was banned from public service until January 1852. During this suspension , he worked as a temporary worker at the Busch lawyer in Karlsruhe . From February 24, 1852 he was able to continue his training as a legal trainee at the Oberamt Lahr , the Oberamt Bruchsal and the Amt Gernsbach .
