Karl August Kopp

Karl August Kopp (born August 17, 1836 in Ettenheim ; † April 1, 1897 in Heidelberg ; Catholic) was an administrative actuary and lawyer who had been in the Baden state service since 1862 .

Karl Kopp was the son of the pharmacist Karl Kopp in Ettenheim and Cäcilia née Anker. On July 20, 1868, he married Elise, née Harlfinger (* April 16, 1846), daughter of the district forester Harlfinger in Odenheim . This marriage resulted in five children: Hans Hermann (* November 21, 1872), Eugenie (* July 24, 1874), Fritz Wolfgang (* February 13, 1876), Manfred Wilhelm (* August 14, 1879) and Otthilde Maria Elisabeth ( * May 31, 1885).

education

Karl Kopp attended the high school in Ettenheim from 1846 to 1850 and then the Lyzeum Freiburg until 1855 , where he passed the Abitur on September 1, 1855 . From the winter semester 1855/56 he studied, interrupted by the winter semester 1857/88 at the University of Heidelberg , at the University of Freiburg law until 1859. In 1856 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . In 1857 he joined the Corps Suevia Heidelberg .
