Waldemar Suadicani
Waldemar Suadicani (born January 10, 1847 in Schleswig , † September 5, 1926 in Braunfels near Wetzlar ; full name: Victor Moritz Waldemar Suadicani ) was a German architect and Prussian construction officer .
Projects
Suadicani planned and built numerous high-rise train stations and reception buildings for the Royal Railway Directorate in Berlin , among others
- the train station Berlin-Friedrichshagen (together with Karl Cornelius ),
- the train station Berlin-Rahnsdorf (together with Karl Cornelius),
- the train station Berlin-Wilhelmshagen (together with Karl Cornelius),
- the Berlin-Koepenick station (along with Karl Cornelius), registered in the list of monuments in Berlin
- the station Berlin-Papestrasse (together with Karl Cornelius); Monument protection was discussed
- the Berlin-Karlshorst Bahnhof (along with Karl Cornelius), registered in the list of monuments in Berlin
In relation to this, Suadicani is also referred to as a co-builder of the Berlin Stadtbahn .
Together with the agricultural inspector Karl Cornelius , Suadicani designed, within the framework of the Prussian Normalien (guidelines that laid down the uniform structure of the Prussian railway network), standardized stalls for platforms, the designs of which can still be found in old Berlin stations, and how they were used in the renovation of the Berlin Ostkreuz station according to historical standards Model to be rebuilt.
Suadicanistrasse in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district near today's Berlin Südkreuz train station (formerly Papestrasse) has been named after him since 1907.
