Walek Neumann (born April 23, 1940 in Friedland im Isergebirge , Reichsgau Sudetenland ) is a German open-air painter and wood cutter .

Life

Walek Neumann graduated from high school in Halle (Saale) in 1958 . From 1960 to 1965 he studied at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Gerhard Kurt Müller and Wolfgang Mattheuer and graduated with a diploma. After graduating, Walek Neumann worked as a freelancer in Halle (Saale) and from 1992 to 2007 in Isny im Allgäu. He has lived in Leipzig since 2007 and is a writer. For 45 years he worked in open air painting ( oil , from 1989 also watercolor gouaches ). From 1972 to 1990 he created woodcuts.
