Walter Jehowá Heras Segarra OFM (born April 4, 1964 in Bulán , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Loja .

Life

Walter Lord Jehovah Heras Segarra entered the religious order of the Franciscans and received on 28 June 1974, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 25, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Vazari and ordered him to Apostolic Vicar of Zamora in Ecuador . The Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador, Archbishop Giacomo Guido Ottonello , donated him episcopal ordination on May 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Guayaquil , Antonio Arregui , and the Bishop of Babahoyo , Fausto Gabriel Trávez Trávez OFM.

On May 2, 2019, he was also appointed Apostolic Administrator of the vacant Diocese of Loja . Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Loja on October 31, 2019. The inauguration took place on December 14th of the same year.
