Walter Jorge Pinto
Walter Jorge Pinto (born February 12, 1963 in Ubá , Minas Gerais , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of União da Vitória .
Life
Walter Jorge Pinto received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Mariana on June 1, 2002 .
On January 9, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of União da Vitória. The Archbishop of Mariana, Airton José dos Santos , gave him on 30 March of the same year in Viçosa the episcopal ordination . Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Mariana, Geraldo Lyrio Rocha , and the Archbishop of Curitiba , José Antônio Peruzzo . The inauguration in the Diocese of União da Vitória took place on April 27, 2019.
