Waltraut Skoddow

Waltraut Skoddow (born March 31, 1942 as Waltraut Wenk in Wittichenau ( Upper Lusatia ); † September 28, 2014 there ) was a German writer .

Life

After attending the elementary school in Knappenrode , Waltraut Skoddow acquired her university entrance qualification at the Gotthold Ephraim Lessing Extended High School (today Lessing Gymnasium ) in Hoyerswerda . Later she attended the technical school for librarians at scientific libraries in Berlin . In 1962 Waltraut Skoddow married her husband Helfried Skoddow (formerly mayor of Welzow ), with whom she had five children. In 1970 she made her first literary attempts. From 1979 to 1983 Waltraut Skoddow studied at the literature institute "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig . From 2000 the author was a lecturer at the adult education center of the Spree-Neisse district in Spremberg . She lived and worked in Hoyerswerda.
