The coat of arms of Goiás is a national emblem of the Brazilian state of Goiás . It was originally designed by Luiz Gaudie Fleuri .

The heart-shaped shield is divided with white narrow bars and split at the bottom with white narrow stakes . The white narrow beam for field -Separation has twelve black vertical bars and the left side a horizontal. Above is a natural landscape in front of a blue sky with mountains and two partially covering white cattle standing on the right on a green background.

A symbolic white bow in blue at the bottom and a red diamond at the back in gold . On the coat of arms a blue ring from which a green sugar cane plant grows on the right and a green red-flowering coffee plant on the left .

The coat of arms is accompanied on the right by a yellow-flowering green tobacco plant and on the left by a green rice plant. Under the coat of arms there is a black grate burning red and yellow.

The central symbol of the shield has the shape of a heart , alluding to the central location of Goiás in Brazil . It is divided into three parts according to the three hydrographic basins of Goiás ( Amazon , São Francisco , Paranã ). In the upper field, Goiás symbolizes an agriculturally important region of Brazil; more recent interpretations assign this area to the Federal District . In the lower right field symbolizes the comet Biela on a blue background of the sky ; other interpretations also interpret the comet's double tail as the Ilha do Bananal , which is formed by the tributary of the Rio Javaés of the Rio Araguaia . In the lower left field, the red diamond on a yellow background symbolizes the rich occurrence of minerals in Goiás, especially gold . The narrow white bar separating the fields with the twelve vertical lines symbolizes the north-south running rivers of the state: S. Marcos, Veríssimo, Rio Corumbá , Rio Meia Ponte , Bois, Claro, Vermelho, Corrente, Aporé, Sucuri, Verde and pard.

It is accompanied by branches of some of the most traditional and important agricultural products of Goiás: above the sign, sugar cane (top right) and coffee (top left). The coat of arms is accompanied by a branch of tobacco (right) and rice (left).

Under the coat of arms: Symbolizes the threat of setting fire to the rivers by Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva against the indigenous population if they do not betray the gold veins.
