The moated castle Bruggen is a lost moated castle behind the chapel in the village of Bruggen, a current district of Bräunlingen in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in Baden-Württemberg .
history
The small moated castle was probably built in the 12th or 13th century, as a local noble family, who were presumably ministerials of the Fürstenbergs , is mentioned from 1281 to 1307. In the 15th century the fiefdom was given by the Fürstenbergers to the Lords of Almshofen . In 1498 Count Heinrich von Fürstenberg bought the castle.
