The castle Mühleg is an Outbound hilltop castle above the steep drop to Wutach in the west of Blumberg in Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The castle was probably built around 1250 by the Lords of Blumberg, first attested in 1260, who were feudal people of the Fürstenbergs . At the end of the 14th century the fortifications were expanded and turned into a small town. After 1499, the castle was expanded into a palace and was later the Fürstenberg residence in the 16th century. In 1641 the castle burned down to the remains of its curtain wall in the course of the Thirty Years War .
