The house at Weberstrasse 44 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the northern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. The house Weberstrasse 43 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north and Weberstrasse 45 to the south .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built according to a building inscription in 1703, according to other information in 1702, by the master carpenter Joachim Lange . The inscription JOACHIM LANGE ZIMERMAN refers to him . The framework has various decorations. There are pyramid beam heads , threshold and filler wood are profiled. In addition, there are remains of parapet wood and diamond crosses on the upper floor . The compartments are provided with decorative linings in different shapes. For the first time, Lange changed the previously strictly regular position of the half-timbered stands by varying the stand spacing.
