Oenological philosophy

Gerd Schindler manages the winery according to consistent ecological and biological aspects and does not use synthetic pesticides and fertilizers , as well as the extensive use of copper . The wines get their fruitiness and elegance through the mineral-rich soils made of loess clay and the high proportion of stone from Jura limestone . The winery purchases more grapes from contract winemakers (5 hectares of cultivation area), and here, too, the avoidance of herbicides is mandatory. However, these wines are matured separately. The own wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, large wooden barrels and barriques . The red wines are fermented spontaneously .

Sparkling wine , noble sweet aperitifs and fine brandies are also produced in the winery .
