World Heritage in St. Kitts and Nevis

The World Heritage in St. Kitts and Nevis (as of 2016) includes a UNESCO World Heritage Site. St. Kitts and Nevis joined the World Heritage Convention in 1976, and the only World Heritage site to date was added to the World Heritage List in 1999.

1999 K 910 The National Park Brimstone Hill Fortress includes the Fortress Brimstone Hill and the surrounding area. The fortress, planned by engineers of the British Army and built by African slaves, is considered an exceptional and well-preserved example of the military architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries in the Caribbean environment.

Currently (2016) two sites are entered in the tentative list of St. Kitts and Nevis, the last entry was in 1998.
