The Wembach is an approximately 8 km long left and southwest tributary of the Gersprenz (with the Lange Graben in the lower reaches 10.7 km) .

The Wembach rises in the Teufelsrechgrund , southeast of the Upper Ramstadt district of Rohrbach. It flows east past the village of Wembach , flows through Reinheim and flows into the Gersprenz . Part of Wembachs fed at high tide the Long Trench , located north of the Reinheimer pond with the Dilsbach to Landwehr Graben combines, which after about one kilometer into the Gersprenz flows.

Dates and character
The Wembach is a carbonate low mountain range rich in fine material. The grayling region is its dominant fish region. Its catchment area is 14.7 km² and its mean discharge (MQ) 114 l / s. Its ecological condition is reported as unsatisfactory.
