Wendelin Mölzer

Wendelin Mölzer (born March 7, 1980 in Graz , Styria ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). Mölzer was a member of the Austrian National Council from October 2013 to October 2019 and, from March 2017, education spokesman for the FPÖ.

Life

Born in Graz in Styria, grew Mölzer in Carinthia , where he in Faaker See , the elementary school completed. He then attended the Peraugymnasium in Villach , where he graduated from high school in 1998 . After his military service , he began to study history at the University of Graz , but dropped out in 2001 and continued at the University of Vienna in the same year . He is old man of the student associations Corps Vandalia Graz and Corps Suevia Munich .

Mölzer is a journalist by profession who has worked for the newspaper Zur Zeit, which is run by his father, since 1998 . Here he rose to head of service and head of the domestic affairs department . From 2014 to 2015 he was editor-in-chief of the weekly newspaper.

At the same time, Mölzer was also involved in his party, was state press officer for the FPÖ in Carinthia from 2005 to 2006 and was a supporter of the 2009 European elections . From 2006 to 2013 he worked for the FPÖ parliamentary club in the areas of foreign policy, EU, culture and human rights. Mölzer has also been leading seminars in the FPÖ's educational institute since 2008 .

In October 2013 Mölzer entered the Austrian National Council as a member of the FPÖ via the Carinthian state list . His parliamentary focus is on foreign and European policy, as well as in the areas of art, culture and education.

He has been the FPÖ's education spokesperson since March 1, 2017. After returning to the National Council in November 2017, Mölzer was elected chairman of the parliamentary education committee in December 2017. After the National Council election in 2019 , he resigned from the National Council.

Private

Wendelin Mölzer is the son of the FPÖ politician Andreas Mölzer , is married, has two sons and lives with his family in Carinthia.
