Werbowez ( Ukrainian Вербовець ; Russian Вербовец , Polish Wierzbowiec ) is a village in the northeast of the Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1643, is the only place of the eponymous, 5.627 km² district council in the Laniwzi district .
The village is located at the source of the Shyrak ( ирак ), a 30 km long tributary of the Horyn , 25 km southwest of the Rajon center Lanivtsi and 45 km northeast of the Oblast center Ternopil .
