Werner Bergmann (born January 15, 1953 in Kirchenlamitz ) is a local and regional historian, honorary city ​​archivist of Kirchenlamitz and district archivist for Wunsiedel-Nord .

Werner Bergmann deals with the general history of the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge and the principality of Bayreuth . He carries out research work and exhibitions on the history of the city of Kirchenlamitz in almost all areas. Books, specialist publications and essays, as well as lectures and guided tours are the results of his work. Historical research in Kirchenlamitz

Werner Bergmann was active as a founder and employee in the working group Heimatkunde / Stadtarchiv from 1987 to 2005 and has headed the working group Culture and Heimatpflege in Kirchenlamitz since 2005 . In 1991 he founded the local history series Die Krebsbacker and has been an author and editor ever since. For the anniversaries of Niederlamitz (1998), Epprechtstein (1998), the city of Kirchenlamitz with 14 projects (1999) and Dörflas near Kirchenlamitz (2003) he created concepts and was available to advise. Collaboration in the German Society for Religious Studies - Phaleristics

Werner Bergmann worked at the Institute for Bavarian Religious Studies from 1992 to 2001. One of his research areas is the German War (1866). He was involved in founding the local history museum in Roßdorf , Thuringia , and accompanied its development from 1986 to 1996. In 1992, the Bavaria monument was created in Roßdorf.

As a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ordenskunde e. V. (DGO), he has published books and specialist articles since 1975, including in 1996 the specialist publication From the Mayor's Medal to the Chain of Office .
