Werner Goos
Werner Goos (* in Hockenheim ) is a jazz guitarist , music producer and songwriter . He plays both as a soloist and with numerous musicians and bands.
Goos received classical guitar lessons at the Mannheim Conservatory. Hans “Dottler” Laib taught him composition and arrangement. Then he studied from 1978 to 1981 at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. In 1981 he had a solo appearance at the German Jazz Festival in Frankfurt. Together with Joachim Fuchs-Charrier he founded the Fuchs-Goos-Band. He also played with Rachel Gould in the band Namaz and toured with Albert Mangelsdorff .
He worked with the following musicians, among others: Emil Mangelsdorff , Walter Norris , Mani Neumeier , Ralf Gustke , Hal Galper , Lauren Newton , Joan Faulkner , Hans Reffert , Tom Krüger, Alphonse Mouzon , Dave King , Bobby Burgess , Jürgen Seefelder , Wolfy Ziegler, Charlie Mariano , Christoph Spendel , Tom Nicholas , Rolf Stahlhofen , Armin Rühl , Gato Barbieri , Wilson de Oliveira , Miroslav Vitouš , Pete York , Janusz Stefański , Johannes Faber , Joerg Reiter , Jim Chapin , Carlos Perón (Yello), Thomas Heidepriem , Günter Lenz , Udo Lindenberg , Dieter Ilg .
In 1995 Goos was a producer at Sony Germany. In 2007 his production "Between the Times" was awarded Record of the Year in Hifi and UK. Here he worked as a sound engineer. As a composer, Werner Goos has published more than 1000 works to date. In the field of film music, his compositions can be heard for years in the ZDF series “Global Vision”.
