Hans Reffert (born July 19, 1946 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ; † February 21, 2016 in Mannheim ) was a German musician , composer and artist. He became known to a wider audience as the long-time guitarist of Guru Guru , but he was also a member of numerous other bands and projects.

Hans Reffert studied painting with Franz Nagel from 1962 to 1963 , then guitar with Sigi Schwab , and from 1966 also flute and composition in Mannheim. Since 1976 he has created commissioned compositions for the Nationaltheater Mannheim and other theaters, and since 1988 also for cinema and television productions.

As a musician he had been with Sigi Schwab since 1960, from 1970 to 1975 he formed the psychedelic folk duo Flute + Voice with Hans Brandeis , later he was guitarist, singer or flautist in groups such as Guru Guru (from 1984), Zauberfinger (with Lisa Kraus and Rolf Schaude, both of whom were also temporarily with Guru Guru), Gentle Love or Schrammel & Slide (with Adax Dörsam ). He has long-standing projects and friendships with many musicians in the Rhine-Neckar region, such as Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru) and Dorle Ferber (Nationaltheater Mannheim, Guru Guru, Cochise , Elster Silberflug , Zeitenwende and Zyma ) and Bernd Köhler (ewo 2 ) and you helped each other out on projects.

Since 1971 he has also participated in art exhibitions with paintings and objects. He was also active as a journalist.

Hans Reffert lived and worked in Mannheim. He died on February 21, 2016 at the age of 69. His final resting place is in the Bergfriedhof in Heidelberg .
