Werner Jochmann (born November 13, 1926 ; † 1991 ) was a German football player . He played in the GDR major league for SC Einheit Dresden and its predecessor BSG Sachsenverlag and BSG Rotation.

His footballing career, which was later interrupted by the end of World War II, began in 1936 with Sportfreunde 01 Dresden . Between September 1950, after he had been promoted to the top division of the GDR with BSG Sachsenverlag Dresden at the end of the 1949/50 season , and June 1962 Werner Jochmann played 304 league games and scored 16 goals. Only 39 footballers were used in the GDR Oberliga more often than the Dresden defender. The left-back is the record player in the GDR league for Einheit Dresden. After the relegation of the SC unit in the 1962/63 season, Jochmann ended his career in the 1st League South in the following season . In the league he achieved the best season placement with the Dresden team three times in 4th place: 1951/52 , 1952/53 and 1954/55 .

In the 1958 season, SC Einheit Dresden and defender Werner Jochmann won the FDGB Cup with a 2-1 after extra time in the final against SC Lokomotive Leipzig . Since the Cup winners' Cup had not yet been created at this point in time, the Dresdeners did not participate in the European Cup after their cup triumph. The long-time league player was not used in the selection of the GDR on the international stage.
