Werner Stocker

Werner Stocker (born April 7, 1955 in Flintsbach am Inn ; † May 27, 1993 in Starnberg ) was a German actor .

Life

After graduating from the Finsterwalder-Gymnasium in Rosenheim, Stocker studied German in Munich. After taking part in the French TV film Les Rebelles (1977) during his studies , he decided to train as an actor.

Stocker made his breakthrough in 1981 with the role of Christoph Probst in Michael Verhoeven's box office success The White Rose . He became well known for his portrayal of Albert in Joseph Vilsmaier's first film Herbstmilch . He gained international popularity through the role of the priest Darius in the Canadian-French TV series Highlander (1992-1993).

On May 27, 1993, after a short illness, Stocker died at the age of 38 as a result of a brain tumor . There are different statements about the cause of death. Stocker's grave is in the cemetery of his birthplace Flintsbach am Inn.

Werner Stocker is the uncle of actor Michael Fischer, who was born in Flintsbach am Inn in 1976 .
