Christel Buschmann

Christel Buschmann (born March 19, 1942 in Wismar ) is a German director , author , journalist , film producer and translator .

Life

Christel Buschmann studied German , Romance languages and philosophy in Hamburg and Munich . She was a research assistant in the “Office for German Exile Literature” at the University of Hamburg (Prof. Hans Wolffheim), from 1964 journalist and literary critic ( Die Zeit , specifically , TEMPO , TITANIC, etc.), researched on “Language and language formation in the poetry of Arno Schmidt ”, Translated from English, shot reports for SPIEGEL-TV and was a member of the editorial team for“ Inventory: Utopia Film ”(Ed. Alexander Kluge ). She has been working as a guest lecturer for dramaturgy at film schools since 1975 and as a writer, producer and director of feature films since 1976. She lived in Hamburg (1961–1975), Munich (1976 to 1993) and Berlin (1993 to 2007) and has lived in Munich again since 2007. She is married to the director Reinhard Hauff and has one son.
