Werner von Freier

Werner von Freier (born June 20, 1854 in Hoppenrade ; † March 3, 1921 ) was a German forest official .

Life

Werner von Freier was born as the son of the gentleman on the Hoppenrade Karl von Freier and Emma née. from Wilamowitz-Möllendorff . After attending the monastery school in Roßleben , he studied in Bonn and at the Eberswalde Forest Academy . In 1874 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian forest service. He became royal forester and administrator of the Woidnig forestry in the district of Guhrau and later Silesian government and forestry council . In 1910 he was a forest master in Berlin. Most recently von Freier was head of the Prussian state forest administration as head forest master. His first marriage was to Katharina von Wedel- Parlow and his second marriage to Adele von Niebelschütz .

His brother was the chamberlain and castle captain of Carlsruhe Gottfried von Freier .
