Werner Anton Carl Ignatz von Hartmann (born May 8, 1805 in Münster , † January 9, 1866 in Habelschwerdt ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Career

Werner von Hartmann attended high school in Paderborn and then studied law in Bonn and Berlin . During his studies he became a member of the Old Bonn Burschenschaft Germania in the winter semester of 1828/29 , supposedly as a commentary boy; He denied this membership in an interrogation in 1835 , which is why there was no trial. After his exams he became an auscultator in 1831 and a trainee lawyer at the Paderborn Higher Regional Court in 1833 . In 1835 he became a higher regional court assessor and unskilled laborer in the Belecke Justice Office and in 1837 in Rüthen . In 1839 he was a member of the general commission of the Westphalian interior ministry in Münster. He was city ​​judge in Bergen, Insterburg and Schneidemühl . In 1840 he became a judge at the Habelschwerdt regional and municipal court, where he was appointed district court director in 1850. In 1862 he became a member of the Prussian House of Representatives in constituency 6 (Breslau 8) , where he belonged to the Rechts / Grabow faction.

Werner von Hartmann was born as the son of Josef von Hartmann (1780-1859), later district administrator in the Büren district. His uncle was Albert von Hartmann (1805-1865), a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .
