Career

society

Wesley spent his youth at Santos FC , was loaned to Paranaense from March to December 2009 and returned to his home club in early 2010. On August 20, 2010, Werder Bremen announced the change after weeks of negotiations. Wesley is said to have signed a four-year contract through June 30, 2014. He made his debut on September 11, 2010 (3rd matchday) against FC Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on October 23, 2010 during the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach , when he scored 2-0 in the 12th minute.

Wesley was never able to establish himself in the Bremen lineup. After he had only made five appearances in the 2011/12 season , Werder Bremen announced on March 8, 2012 that Wesley was moving to Palmeiras São Paulo . However, due to a torn cruciate ligament, he missed large parts of the season. So he wasn't there when he won the cup in July 2012.

In January 2015 Wesley moved to São Paulo FC . He played 49 league games there and scored two goals. After one and a half years with São Paulo, Wesley moved to Sport Recife in August 2017 on a free transfer . Half a year later he went to América Mineiro , where he ran up 17 times in ten months. After three months without a club, Wesley signed with Brazilian second division club Criciúma EC in March 2019 until the end of the year . In January 2020, Wesley moved again to Avaí FC within Brazil .
