Wheatland is located in the southeast of the US state Wyoming in Platte County on Interstate 25 . The city is the seat of the county seat of Platte County.
Demographics
According to the 2010 census, the 3627 inhabitants were distributed over 1657 households. The population density was 329.7 inh / km². 95.1% described themselves as white , 0.1% as African-American , 0.4% as Native American , 0.7% as Asian Americans , 2.1% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.6% to several ethnic groups on. 7.4% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 35.7% of all households lived in 25% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 58.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.13 people and the average family size was 2.78 people.
22.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 28.4% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 45.4 years. 48.7% of the population were male and 51.3% were female.

Attractions
Wheatland is a very well-kept small town, but has hardly any sights. About 30 miles to the northeast is the historic Fort Laramie near the town of Fort Laramie and also nearby is the small town of Guernsey .
