Wicht (born June 29, 1981 in Thalwil ; real name Gavin Rust ) is a Swiss rapper of Filipino descent from Zurich . He used to perform under the stage name Chli Wicht . He is under contract with the Swiss label No Code Music .

biography

In the mid-1990s, Wicht was mainly active as a DJ . He also showed himself to be an organizer of various hip-hop events in the region. He also studied F + F at the Zurich Art School . Wicht was responsible for the script , direction and editing of the Toyz film project . The film premiere took place in the Rote Fabrik . In 1999 the man from Zurich started rapping for the first time. This resulted in collaborations with regional artists such as EKR in a short time , whose EP Ich bin au was released , on which Wicht was also represented on the title song. Shortly thereafter, several appearances followed , including at Slang Night 2003. In 2004 he published the Maxi Heb d'Frässi , which served as a foretaste of his debut album. Important was published on May 11, 2005 under his new artist name Wicht . Wicht published three videos for this release and went on a tour across Switzerland . A year later he published the free mixtape Blauwiis , on which Sulaya was represented. After that, Wicht was mainly noticed by individual songs on DJ mix tapes. So appeared on the mixtape Wer hatz invented? by DJ Sweap and DJ Pfund 500 together with Kool Savas the song Get high / Geht heim

On September 26, 2008 Wicht released his second solo album Action Rap . The sound carrier was produced by DJ Sweap , Crada and Undercover Molotov . Guest contributions came from Griot , EKR and Dezmond Dec . In September 2010 Wicht's third solo album Human was released . A video clip for the song Es gaht wiiter was also released . In June 2013 he published the sequel bw2 of the mixtape Blauwiis (2006).

In April 2015 the album "Talisman" was released. Stef la Chef and Tommy Vercetti are present as guest features on this sound carrier. The producer of this album was the label boss Sergio Araya from Nocode. Talisman is the final project of Wicht's solo career.
