Wighard Härdtl
Wighard Härdtl (born March 31, 1943 in Tetschen-Bodenbach ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and government official . From 1992 to 1998 he was State Secretary and Colonel d. R. of the Bundeswehr until 2003.
Life
Härdtl grew up as the son of a biologist in Magdeburg and Berlin-Pankow in the GDR . After fleeing to the Federal Republic of Germany and graduating from high school in Mainz in 1964 , he studied history and political science at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . Since 1964 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Rhenania-Moguntia Mainz. From 1965 he studied at the Free University of Berlin , where he graduated in Political Science in 1969. As a student, Härdtl got involved with the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS), of which he became the Berlin state chairman. 1967 to 1968 Härdtl was a member of the so-called group "black eighty-eight " or K group . In 1967 he joined the CDU.
Härdtl began his professional career in 1969 as a consultant for the Federal Agency for Civic Education in the field of adult education . In 1972 Härdtl became the personal assistant to the then deputy chairman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group , Manfred Wörner . Further stages of his career are:
- Specialist for the CSU regional group in the Bundestag for education, research and media
- Friedrich Zimmermann's office manager
- Head of department in the Federal Ministry of the Interior after the change of government in 1982 under Interior Minister Friedrich Zimmermann , until he moved to the Ministry of Transport in 1989
- as department head in the Ministry of the Interior under Wolfgang Schäuble , he was head of the ministry's internal working group on German unity
- From 1992 to 1998 permanent state secretary in the development aid department of today's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development under Minister Carl-Dieter Spranger
After his professional career, Härdtl was a representative of the RAG Group in Berlin (1999–2005) and managing director of the International Meeting of the Sparkasse Foundation in Bonn (2005–2010).
Härdtl's wife Doris worked for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation .
