Reviews

David Nusair wrote in Reel Film Reviews that the similarities with Big Fish cannot be overlooked, but the other film is "much, much better . " The film is "entertaining and harmless" , but the viewer cannot identify with any of the characters. The representations by Peter Falk and Tim Daly are effective.

Scott Weinberg wrote on www.efilmcritic.com that the predictable film, reminiscent of Tim Burton's Big Fish , offered little of remarkable. Wilde Tage is exactly the kind of harmless and greasy TV films that you swallow easily and without leaving a trace ( "Wilder Days is precisely the sort of mild and harmlessly familiar TV schmaltz that goes down easy - and leaves nary a trace" ).

Awards

The film for Best Family TV Feature and Josh Hutcherson were nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2004. Jeff Stockwell was nominated for the 2004 Writers Guild of America Award .

backgrounds

The film was shot in Vancouver . It was produced as a television film, but in Hungary , Argentina and Germany it was first released on video and DVD, respectively.
