The Wilhelm Hübotter was a sea ​​rescue boat (SRB) of the 9-meter class of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS).

The ship named after the architect Wilhelm Hübotter , which DGzRS internally calls KRST 25, was built in 1977 by the Schweers shipyard in Bardenfleth under construction number 6434 and on July 30, 1977 together with two sister boats in Bardenfleth in the name of the father of a sponsor of the DGzRS.

Technical Equipment

The lifeboat was equipped with radio systems, echo sounder, radar , GPS , external bilge pump and a rescue port.

Stationings

From 1977 to March 28, 1999 the boat was stationed at the DGzRS station on the island of Wangerooge . It was stationed in Horumersiel until it was withdrawn from service in December 2004. The Wilhelm Hübotter can now be seen at the Hafenmuseum in Speicher XI in Bremen.
