Wilhelm Küchler (born July 21, 1936 in Frankfurt am Main ) is an entrepreneur , Hessian politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Wilhelm Küchler studied economics at the University of Frankfurt after graduating from high school and graduated in 1961 with a diploma. Between 1965 and 1999 he was self-employed as a building contractor. Since then he has been working as a consultant. He is responsible for many associations. Among other things he was:

politics

Wilhelm Küchler is a member of the CDU and held many board positions there. Among other things, he was deputy chairman of the CDU district of Untermain and from 1996-1997 state treasurer of the CDU.

From 1991 to 1998 Küchler was state chairman of the CDU Economic Council in Hesse and has been a member of the board since then.

Wilhelm Küchler was active as a city councilor in Kronberg im Taunus from 1964 to 1982 . Between 1971 and 1981 he was head of the city council.

Since 1975 he has been a member of the Association Day of the Frankfurt Umlandverband and from 1977 to 1989 chairman of the Association Day.

From December 1, 1982 to April 4, 1995 Wilhelm Küchler was directly elected member of the Hochtaunus II constituency in the Hessian state parliament. In the state parliament he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1987 to 1995.

Other offices

Between 1979 and 1994 Küchler was chairman of the supervisory board of Frankfurter Volksbank eG, of which he had been a member since 1970. Wilhelm Küchler was a member of the Broadcasting Council of Hessischer Rundfunk from 1988 to 1993 until he switched to the Administrative Board of Hessischer Rundfunk from 1993 to 2011, where he had chaired the Economic Committee from 2001. Since 2001 he has also been a member of the supervisory board of hr werbung gmbh.

Honors

Wilhelm Küchler received the Order of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was promoted to Senator E. h. By the University of Bremen . appointed. In 2011 he received the Hessian Order of Merit for his life's work .
