Wilhelm Konrad Hermann Müller (born May 27, 1812 in Holzminden ; † January 4, 1890 in Göttingen ) was a German specialist in German .

Life

Müller came from the family of a tax official. In 1832 he graduated from high school in Holzminden and then studied in Göttingen. On June 13, 1837, he passed the state examination in history and German. He then continued teaching in Göttingen and, together with Georg Schambach , compiled a collection of legends and fairy tales.

Georg Friedrich Benecke's posthumous preparatory work for a collection of the Middle High German word treasure was used by Müller and Friedrich Zarncke in the Middle High German dictionary .
