Wilhelm Nöbel

Wilhelm Nöbel (born November 5, 1936 in Bonn ; † April 7, 2006 ) was a German historian , journalist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Staatliches Gymnasium in Siegburg in 1957 , Nöbel began studying history, classical philology and philosophy at the University of Bonn , which he completed with a doctorate as a Dr. phil. finished. From 1964 to 1970 he worked as a research assistant in the Kuratorium Indivisible Germany . From 1970 to 1976 he headed the Department Public Relations at the Press and Information Center of the German Bundestag . In 1991 he became head of PR and press officer for Deutsche Welle in Cologne .

Political party

Nöbel joined the SPD in 1966.

MP

Nöbel was a member of the Bundestag from 1976 to 1990. In all four electoral terms he was elected via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia and was always a member of the interior committee .
