Wilhelm See

Wilhelm Sieh (born May 19, 1892 in Groß-Wisch ; † December 10, 1970 in Eutin ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and deputy Gauleiter in the Schleswig-Holstein Gau since 1934.

After attending elementary school and high school in Meldorf, Sieh completed a commercial apprenticeship at the road railroad in Hamburg . Then he was employed by Hamburger Hochbahn Aktiengesellschaft in Hamburg.

Shortly after the outbreak of World War I , in August 1914, Sieh joined the Infantry Regiment "Graf Bose" (1st Thuringian) No. 31 of the Prussian Army as a war volunteer , with whom he fought on the Western Front until 1918 . He was seriously wounded in the war in 1915 and 1916 and was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class and the Wound Badge . After the end of the war, he returned to his old job on August 1, 1919. On April 11, 1933, he was promoted to general manager and personnel manager.

In 1934, Sieh was appointed a member of the Prussian Provincial Council. From 1934 Sieh held the office of deputy Gauleiter of Schleswig-Holstein.

From March 29, 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945, Sieh was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 13 (Schleswig-Holstein).
