Wilhelm Spangenberg (born September 8, 1808 in Heidelberg , † August 3, 1887 in Illenau ; Protestant) was a lawyer and official member of the Baden civil service since 1838 , comparable to today's district administrator .

Wilhelm Spangenberg was the son of the school teacher Jakob Spangenberg in Heidelberg and Anna Catharina nee Schneider. He married on September 27, 1842 in Sinsheim Franziska born Rudolph (* in Sinsheim), daughter of the local council, master brewer and innkeeper Philipp Jacob Rudolph and Antonie born Strobel. This marriage resulted in five children: Wilhelm (born September 3, 1844 in Wertheim ), Rudolf (born May 10, 1848 in Wertheim), Hermann Wilhelm (born October 26, 1852 in Durlach ), Clara (born July 20, 1862 in Durlach ) and Wilhelm (born February 2, 1864 in Durlach).

education

Spangenberg attended high school in Heidelberg until 1827 , where he graduated from high school in 1827 . From October 1827 he studied law at the University of Heidelberg and, after graduating in 1832, was an actuary at the Heidelberg Oberamt until February 1834. On January 16, 1835, he received the right to write constitution in administrative matters and on January 30, 1836 in judicial matters.

career

On January 11, 1838, Wilhelm Spangenberg became an official assessor at the Sinsheim District Office and then at the Buchen District Office . On September 30, 1841 he became an official assessor at the Wertheim City and Country Office , where he was promoted to magistrate on December 15, 1842 . From August 19, 1848, he became the head of the district office of Neckargemünd, and from June 2, 1851, he received the post of senior magistrate at the district office of Durlach . On October 8, 1866, he was transferred to the Bretten District Office and retired on April 5, 1877.
