Wilhelm Ziegeler (politician)

Wilhelm Ziegeler (born January 18, 1891 in Riede , Syke district , † August 5, 1958 in Hamburg ) was a German politician of the DP .

Political party

During the Weimar Republic , Ziegeler, a doctor of law, was a member of the DNVP . After the Second World War , he initially participated in the Hamburg Right , which saw itself as the successor organization to the DNVP in the Hanseatic city. When this merged in the summer of 1946 with the Hamburg regional association of Reinhold Wulles Deutscher Aufbaupartei to form the German Conservative Party , Ziegeler was together Rudolf Duckstein and Erwin Jacobi (both DAP) at the head of the Hamburg Conservatives. At the beginning of 1947 he moved to the DP together with Jacobi.

Ziegeler belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1949 to 1957 , and from 1949 to 1953 he was also a district member of the Wandsbek administrative district .

Ziegeler was Finance Senator for the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg from 1953 to 1957 .
