Wilhelm Helmuth Elias von Heyden-Linden (born August 1, 1842 in Dresden , † March 14, 1877 in Stettin ) was a German administrative lawyer . He was the country director in Pomerania.

Life

Wilhelm von Heyden-Linden was the eldest son of August von Heyden-Linden (1813-1881) and his wife Arianne Freiin von Maltzahn (1823-1851). His brother was Carl von Heyden-Linden and his step-brother was Bogislav von Heyden-Linden .

He studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität and became active in the Corps Borussia Bonn in 1863 with Egmont von Brünneck , Hugo von Lerchenfeld-Köfering , Hans von Arnim and Hippolyt von Bray-Steinburg . He proved himself as a senior and in 1864 headed the oKC of the Kösener Seniors Convents Association . In 1865 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD. He served as a one-year volunteer with the Hussar Regiment "King Wilhelm I" (1st Rheinisches) No. 7 , with whom he went to the Franco-German War . After being appointed government assessor , he became the regional army director in Szczecin . After the formation of the Provincial Association of Pomerania , he was elected to the newly created post of State Director in 1876. In 1877, a few days after Otto von Bismarck had appointed him to Berlin , he fell ill with diphtheria and died after a short illness at the age of 34.

Wilhelm von Heyden-Linden was married to Agathe von Trotha (1848–1917) since 1871 . The marriage resulted in two sons and two daughters. His eldest son Albrecht (1872–1946) inherited the Fideikommiss Tützpatz .
