Wilhelm von Thüngen

Wilhelm Freiherr von Thüngen (born August 17, 1805 in Thüngen ; † March 1, 1871 ibid) was a Bavarian landowner and politician.

Life

Wilhelm von Thüngen came from the Franconian noble family Thüngen and was majorate on the estate of the same name in Lower Franconia . He was the hereditary chef of the Duchy of Franconia and royal Bavarian chamberlain .

From 1859 to 1861 Wilhelm von Thüngen was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the Gemünden constituency . In 1861 he became a member of the Chamber of the Bavarian Imperial Councils for life and was its 2nd President from 1868 to 1871.

From 1868 to 1870 he was also a member of the customs parliament as a member of the constituency of Upper Bavaria 8 ( Traunstein , Laufen , Berchtesgaden , Altötting ) . He represented the political direction of the Bavarian Patriot Party .
