Willi Kund (born March 11, 1908 , † August 30, 1967 ) was a German national soccer player . The left winger made two international matches for the national soccer team in 1930 and 1931 and scored one goal. With the selection of southern Germany Kund won the federal cup in 1931 and the Reichsbund cup with the Elf von Sachsen in 1936 , before he won the Tschammer cup with the club in 1939 after returning to 1. FC Nürnberg .

career

Kund played for over 10 years for two top clubs of the time, 1. FC Nürnberg and Dresdner SC . He started his career at 1. FC Nürnberg, with whom he won the southern German championship for the first time in the 1928/29 season and only failed in the semi-finals at Hertha BSC (repeat, 2: 3) in the final round of the German soccer championship . After the success in the Gauliga Bayern in 1934 , Kund and Nuremberg prevailed in the final round of the German championship in the group stage against Dresdner SC, Borussia Fulda and Wacker Halle, mastered the hurdle of BFC Viktoria 89 Berlin and 2-1 in the semifinals just failed in the final of the German soccer championship (1: 2 against Schalke 04 ). In his last final round of the German championship, Kund played all six group matches against SV Waldhof Mannheim, Stuttgarter Kickers and Kickers Offenbach in 1940 and finished second with his teammates Karl Gußner, Alfred Pfänder, Seppl Schmitt and Georg Hagen with 6: 6 points . Kund has played a total of 408 games for 1. FC Nürnberg, including 21 games with two goals in the final round of the championship (1929 to 1940).

After the end of the Second World War, he played with 1. FC Nuremberg in 1945/46 in the first season of the soccer Oberliga Süd . In the players' lexicon he is noted with seven games and two goals. In 1946 his career came to an end and he ran a wine bar in downtown Nuremberg. In later years Kund ran a Toto Lotto acceptance point together with Georg Kennemann .
