Willi Lindlar

Willi Lindlar (born March 1, 1916 in Hennef ; † March 11, 1983 ibid) was a German local politician and district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship. After the labor service , he worked in his parents' business until the beginning of his military service in 1940. From 1946 he studied at the Pedagogical Academy in Cologne and after graduation worked as a teacher at various schools.

He was married and had a son, the former Cologne District President Hans Peter Lindlar .

He was a member of the district council of the former Siegkreis and the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis from 1952 to 1979. In addition, he was temporarily a member of the city council of Hennef.

From 1969 to 1974 Lindlar was a member of the landscape assembly of the Rhineland Regional Association .

Public offices

From April 10, 1961 to September 18, 1974 he was the district administrator of the Siegkreis and after the regional reform of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis.

Lindlar was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Others

On November 5, 1973, Lindlar was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. A street in Hennef was named after him.
