Franz Wülffing

Franz Heinrich Hubert Wülffing (born March 15, 1814 in Wipperfürth , † March 23, 1896 in Cologne ) was a Prussian district administrator .

Life

Wülffing was born as the son of the cloth manufacturer Franz Wilhelm Wülffing and Maria Anna Wülffing. Engelhardt was born in Wipperfürth. He was of the Old Catholic faith and had six siblings. He married in Cologne on November 24, 1849 Katharina Burgmer (* February 10, 1823, † September 26, 1894 in Bad Honnef ), the daughter of the factory owner and mayor of Deutz Wilhelm Theodor Burgmer and Magdalena Burgmer, nee. Meier. They had six children together.

After attending grammar school in Bad Münstereifel , he studied law in Bonn from 1833 to 1837 . On September 30, 1837 he was auscultator , on March 7, 1839 court trainee . In 1839 he became a government trainee in Cologne and in 1842 a government assessor .

After working for the governments in Potsdam , Opole from 1845 and Düsseldorf from 1848, he became a representative in June 1849, and on March 30, 1850, he became the district administrator in the Siegkreis . On January 10, 1867 he was released from the administration. He was then a senior councilor in the government in Minden , from May 14, 1868 with the same occupation in Cologne. He was appointed to the Secret Upper Government Council. In 1888 he went into retirement.
