Willi van der Weppen (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Van der Weppen belonged to the Duisburg SpV , for which he played point games in the championships held by the Rheinisch-Westfälischer Spiel-Verband from 1903 to 1908 .

The first three seasons he was used in the Rhein / Ruhr district, then two seasons in the Ruhr district. During his club membership, he won a total of five district championships with his club. In the first two seasons and in his last, he won the West German Championship. Because of these successes, he was also used in the respective finals of the German championship . After his team won the quarter-finals on May 8, 1904 on the local sports field at Grunewald 5: 3 over the Casseler FV , he made his final round debut in the semi- finals; the game a week later in Leipzig at the host VfB Leipzig was lost 2: 3 n. V. , although he shot his team 2: 1 with his goal in the 78th minute. In the following year he only played the quarter-finals against Karlsruher FV, which he lost 1-0 in Hanau on May 28, 1905 .
