William Kerwin

William Kerwin (born April 17, 1927 in San Diego , California , † October 27, 1989 in Hollywood , Florida ) was an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Kerwin began his acting career in the early 1950s. In 1953 he starred in the western The Moonlighter with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray and in the Pelikan company with Sterling Hayden and Dean Jagger in the leading roles. Between 1961 and 1968 he made eleven horror films with director Herschell Gordon Lewis . In his almost four decades-long career, in addition to his film roles, he also played numerous guest roles in television series , from police reports on tennis rackets and cannons , to use in Manhattan to Miami Vice . In addition to his work as an actor, Kerwin has written scripts for several feature films and has occasionally worked as a production manager, producer, sound engineer and assistant director.

Kerwin was married to actress Connie Mason from 1964 until his death , with whom he had two daughters.
