The place Winten is a place and cadastral municipality in the market town of Eberau , Güssing district in Burgenland. The Hungarian name is Pinkatótfalu and the Croatian Faluba . The village has 77 inhabitants (January 1, 2020).
Winten is a street village on the Pinkataler Weinstrasse and is first mentioned in a document in 1157. Winten was an independent municipality until December 31, 1970. As a result of the Municipal Structure Improvement Act, the municipalities of Eberau, Gaas, Croatian Ehrensdorf, Kulm, Oberbildein, Unterbildein and Winten merged to form the larger municipality of Eberau, effective January 1, 1971.
The branch chapel for the elevation of the cross stands outside the village and was built in 1951 as a simple rectangular building with a facade tower. A Floriani chapel stands on the street to Bildein . A mountain chapel from 1724 stands on the Pinkataler Weinstrasse.
