Witalis Ludwiczak (born April 20, 1910 in Posen , Prussia , German Reich ; † June 19, 1988 in Poznań , Poland ) was a Polish ice hockey player and coach as well as a rower and university teacher .

Career

Witalis Ludwiczak studied law in Poznań. With the ice hockey team AZS Poznan , he won the Polish championship title in the 1933/34 season . In rowing, he became Polish champion in 1933 in the four without a helmsman. During the Second World War he was in German captivity in officers' camp II C in Woldenberg . In 1955 he was the coach of the Polish national ice hockey team. After his sports career, he taught as a university professor of private law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan . In this function he wrote more than 60 publications on the subject of law.

International

For the Polish national ice hockey team Ludwiczak took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid in 1932 and in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 . He was also in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1933 , 1935 , 1937 , 1938 and 1939 . He played a total of 47 international matches for Poland from 1931 to 1939, scoring three goals.
