Wenden Voivodeship
The Wenden Voivodeship (Polish: województwo wendeńskie ) was a short-lived administrative unit in the Polish-Lithuanian Duchy of Livonia .
The voivodeship existed from an administrative reform in 1598 to the occupation of the northwestern part of the territory including the capital Wenden (Lat .: Cēsis) by Sweden in 1620. Under international law, these territorial losses were only recognized in 1660 . The remnants of the Wenden Voivodeship went into the Livonia Voivodeship ("Polish Livonia").
